Units of study
We have more than 2,500 units of study available to incoming students, across our 9 Faculties and Schools. You and your students can navigate the offerings using our unit of study tools:
Student Edition: http://sydney.edu.au/future-students/documents/sydney-abroad-units.pdf
Partner Edition: https://goo.gl/Nu8lwe
Both include links to unit of study lists which can be searched in 3 ways: Master Lists, Thematic Lists, and Department Lists. The Partner Edition includes links to folders with unit outlines (syllabi) from past, current, and future offerings so we ask this version is shared with University staff and advisers only. The Student Edition may be shared with all, including current or prospective students.
If your staff or students would like advice on locating suitable options for particular interests/majors or assistance with curriculum matching please let us know.
Application process
When you’re ready to nominate your students for programs commencing Semester 2 2018, we ask that you complete our nomination form: https://goo.gl/LhddME
Please nominate your students by 15th April 2018. I’ll contact students on a rolling basis from late January 2018 onwards to introduce myself and to share the application instructions.
Our published application deadline for Semester 2 2018 is 30th April 2018. That being said, we can typically accommodate late applications for several weeks after our published deadlines if need be.
Immigration/visa
The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has recently undergone a name change and is now called the Department of Home Affairs.
Information about eligibility and requirements for the subclass 500 student visa here: http://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/contact/offices-locations.
Students will need to have been issued an Unconditional Offer, completed the necessary steps to accept their offer, and be issued an electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCoE) before they can apply for a student visa. Specific questions about visa-related topics can be directed to the Department of Home Affairs: http://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/contact/offices-locations

Immigration/visa
Due to program duration and reduced study load, students joining one of our Short Term programs are not eligible to apply for a student visa. Several visa subclasses may be relevant for students in our Short Term programs, but they are likely to choose a tourist or a working holiday visa. Eligibility for any usually depends on numerous factors, including citizenship and personal circumstances. See below for potential visas students might choose to apply for:
Tourist visas
