Information to incoming faculty members and administrative staff

Incoming faculty members and administrative staff are encouraged to visit at TAU under the Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Program.

 

If you are interested to teach/receive training at TAU, you are kindly asked to contact the relevant department/faculty member and ask for a letter of invitation.

 

Please take into consideration that according to the Erasmus+ regulations, incoming faculty members who receive a teaching scholarship are required to teach at least 8 academic weekly hours. The teaching plan shall be arranged directly with the relevant department (namely, the faculty member that invites you to TAU).

 

After receiving an invitation, please ask the office in charge of Erasmus+ at your home university to send us a letter of nomination.

 

Please take into consideration that incoming faculty members/staff are required to submit the following documents:

 

  1. Mobility agreement/work plan/ teaching plan sighed by the sending institution and by the host at TAU. 
  2. CV.
  3. For faculty members: invitation letter from a faculty member at TAU; for administrative staff: invitation letter from the hosting department.
  4. Nomination letter from the Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Coordinator at the sending institution (can be sent by email).
  5. Photocopy of passport which needs to be valid for at least 6 months after the planned arrival date to Israel.
  6. Quick on-line registration here.
  7. Proof of comprehensive health insurance coverage for the whole duration of stay. the document shall be submitted before the mobility period.

 

Information regarding the required health insurance:

 

faculty members/administrative staff who arrive to Tel Aviv University must be equipped with full medical insurance that includes medical cover in the event of illness, accidents or any other event that requires medical services. Such insurance must be arranged and paid by the incoming faculty/staff member and suited to his/her medical needs for the whole duration of the stay at Tel Aviv University, commencing from the departure from the home country until the subsequent return (including travel). Tel Aviv University will not be able to assist faculty/staff members in case of an emergency or any medical event if they do not have the required insurance
