Campus Life
Wednesdays on Campus
Many events take place on campus throughout the semester.
Every Wednesday during the semester, there is a midday rock concert (free of charge and open to the public) in the university's central square, by the Gilman Building. The concert takes place between classes, so as not to interfere with classes.
In addition, there is a fair every Wednesday, in the area between the Gilman Building and the main library. Different booths sell clothing, jewelry, different types of food, and so on. Prices are usually competitive and bargains can be found!
Student Day
Once a year, the student union organizes a special event for all TAU students. Classes are suspended at noon, and students can enjoy a variety of rock concerts (held on different stages around the campus), a pool party at the Sports Center, a big salsa event, a special cinema venue, and more.
All events on Student Day are is free of charge for TAU students.
Ambassador Forum
The vice president's office organizes a series of lectures by leading ambassadors in Israel during the semester. The forum is open to all interested students.
The above are only a few examples of the different events (lectures, concerts, fairs) that take place on campus, which has in recent years become a central venue for a multitude of cultural and social events.

Food and Living Expenses
Tel Aviv is a relatively expensive city, but it is also possible to economize. Plan to spend up to 1,000-1,200 USD per month for food, independent travel, and incidental expenses. Allow about twice as much for the first month to cover initial purchases. Of course, the amount spent varies per person.
