Passport & Visa

Passport

To enter Israel, you must have a passport that is valid for at least six months after your date of entry and remains valid throughout your stay. If you do not have a valid passport, you should apply for one immediately. If you hold an Israeli passport, you will be required to present it upon arrival.

Returning Israelis and Israeli-Born Minors:

Due to frequent changes in regulations, students born in Israel, born to Israeli parents, or who hold Israeli citizenship or passports should contact the nearest Israeli embassy or consulate to clarify their legal status upon returning to Israel.

Visa

Most international incomers to TAU will need a visa; the exception is for anyone visiting or studying for less than three months. Visas must be issued before your arrival to TAU; to issue one, please visit the Israeli embassy or consulate in your home country approximately two months before you travel. Information regarding the cost of issuing a visa can be found here.

***IMPORTANT: Students who need to get a visa to a different country (for instance, a visa to the US/Europe) are advised to start the process three months before traveling, as it can take some time, and you might be required to extend your Israeli visa as well during this process.

For more information, please refer to the relevant embassy's website.
